A Deep Dive Into Uncertainty: Going Through The Hurdles of The Pandemic by Doing

The pandemic has hit many of us hard.

Plot Twist: it ain’t going away any time soon.

It has not only hit individuals, families, and small businesses, but societies and economies as a whole.

If Necessity is the mother of all invention, then (Re)invention is the mother of most solutions. Even if the pandemic derailed our original plans, we need to keep going, reinventing ourselves, and persevering.

In pursuit of happiness and intellectual fulfilment, and due to pandemic and border closure of Australia, I’ve decided to interrupt my Economics studies at the University of Queensland,

and venture off in search of a higher purpose beyond the stability and Security I’ve relentlessly chased for the few past years.

I am blessed with an opportunity to reinvent, and I want to use this blessing to spend more time learning, teaching, blogging, writing stories and doing data analytics projects I enjoy.

A — Teaching Business English

This world has been unfair to those in the business world who don’t converse in a language that is not always too straightforward, but became hyper essential for their future survival.

It’s why I enjoy teaching adults! For them, it can equal job progression, happier families, and more economically stable households.

Who wouldn’t want to be part of that?

I’m slowly building my portfolio, but for now you can find me on Preply and Cambly.

B — Research, Journalism and Blogging

I’m still going to pursue my passions for economics, geopolitics, neurodiversity and whatever tickles my ADHD brain. Since I’m a generalist who enjoys writing and public speaking, I decided that something in investigative journalism would be a great start.

I’m not going to compete with real journalists or actual researchers, I consider myself the middle ground in my ability to find interesting topics and delve deep into their obscurities.

C — Data Driven Dialogue and Critical Thinking

The other side of me still needs data. Even if I do small scale projects, I want to discover my surroundings through data, especially in pursuit of learning, democracy, and information decentralization.

How I hope it all plays out

For now this middle ground is where I will be and where I want to thrive.

Will I go into journalism in the future?

Will I be a researcher?

Will I go to a 9 to 5 job?

I don’t want to plan it yet. I want to discover my way to it, however, because if the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that direction is optional, but goals are necessary.

In my writing I hope to propose solutions to shortcomings instead of just investigating them:

I want people to read my articles and not only learn something new, but also challenge their set beliefs, and reinvent themselves too!

Closing

The world though big can be quite small, and though vast in experience, can still overlap.

It’s my time to explore it, unearth its varied truths, and teach others along the way.
